What happened
- On 15 September, the High Court nullified the Government’s transaction involving an additional 15% Safaricom stake and ordered restoration of the shares to the State.
- On 16 September, the Government said it would appeal the ruling.
- The legal process therefore remains active.
What NSE Pulse is not claiming
Safaricom rose 2.83% on Monday. We do not have evidence establishing that the court dispute caused that daily move, so the two facts are presented separately.
